Korn Ferry Talent Q Elements (Numerical) practice

Talent Q Elements (now Korn Ferry Assess) is an adaptive numerical test used by firms like Citi, UBS and Macquarie. Three things make it distinctive: questions adapt to your performance (get one right, the next is harder); each question has its own countdown — 90 seconds, dropping to 75 as you progress; and answers offer many options, sometimes 8 or more, which makes guessing nearly worthless.

The data-interpretation content underneath — tables, percentage change, ratios — is standard, and irrelevant data is deliberately included to slow you down. The preparation that transfers: practise reading dense tables fast under a hard per-question clock, and train yourself to estimate before you calculate, because eliminating 7 wrong options is not viable in 90 seconds.

Why there’s no Korn Ferry simulator here (yet)

Talent Q uses up to 8 answer options per question to defeat guessing. Our bank is built on the standard 5-option format, so we don't yet offer a Talent Q simulation — practising data interpretation under a hard per-question countdown is the closest honest preparation.

Common questions

How long do you get per question on Talent Q Elements?

Each question has its own countdown — 90 seconds at first, dropping to 75 seconds as you progress. The test is adaptive: answer correctly and the next question gets harder.

Why do Talent Q questions have so many answer options?

Up to 8 or more options per question, specifically to make guessing ineffective. Estimation and elimination strategies matter less than actually working the answer.

Is the Talent Q numerical test adaptive?

Yes — question difficulty adjusts to your performance, so scores come from the difficulty level you sustain rather than a simple count of correct answers.
